ABOUT US

We are a service and social organization for anyone 18 to 40 in the Mid-Ohio Valley, mainly catering to young professionals looking to get active in the community. We have had our hands in many events, from volunteering at the Taste of Parkersburg to expanding the Downtown Throwdown.

Along with service activities such as Habitat for Humanity builds and assisting with the Russ Parsons Invitational Track Meet for the United Way, we also host a number of social events throughout the year (bowling, trivia, Christmas party, etc.).

The Mid-Ohio Valley is a great place to grow up, offering a safe community with a quality school system. The biggest problem that the MOV faces, though, is the continual loss of educated young people (i.e. the “brain drain”).

As an organization for active young professionals, we offer those people a chance to contribute to the enhancement of the community and feel like they are making a difference in its long-term betterment. The hope is that they will take pride in the area and stick around to help it continue to grow. As the success of the Downtown Throwdown shows, our efforts can (and do) have substantial, tangible results.
