Jaycees Scholarship
Each Spring, the Parkersburg Area Jaycees present a scholarship to an outstanding local high school senior who plans to attend college in West Virginia.
WVU Season Ticket Fundraiser
Throughout the Summer our members sell tickets to raise money. The winner of the drawing receives two season tickets to WVU football, and all net proceeds go to a charity of choice. Three of the last four years, the recipient has been the Humane Society of Parkersburg, with the 2016 proceeds going to the victims of the flooding in southern WV.
Downtown Throwdown
BBQ & Brewfest
The Jaycees have partnered with Downtown PKB to help expand the Downtown Throwdown into the premier fall social event in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
Habitat for Humanity
As a group, we have assisted with multiple Habitat for Humanity builds over the years and plan to continue that trend moving forward. This is just one of the organizations with which we participate in helping the community.
Chamber of Commerce
of the Mid-Ohio Valley
Our partnership with the Chamber includes volunteering at Business After Hours events, sponsoring an award at the annual dinner, and participating in Chamber events throughout the year.
Christmas Party
One of our best traditions is our annual Christmas party. This event serves a number of purposes, including socializing and growing membership, but it also allows us to collect donations for local charities during the holiday season.
